Single loop bale ties are typically used in vertical types of balers to bundle everything from plastic, paper, and cardboard to metal and clothing. No matter your specific requirements, Midwest Bale Ties can surpass your standards.
Our single looped baled ties come in galvanized, black annealed, and coated finishes and are available in 11-gauge to 14-gauge diameters, and lengths of 10 feet to 22 feet. Both coiled and straight wire is available. Products are bundled, wrapped, and tagged with a proprietary or custom label and are available in pallet, gaylord, and truckload quantities, as well as individual bundles. Bundles contain either 62, 125, or 250 ties depending on length and gauge of the wire.
How to Choose the Right Baling Tie
Each baling machine has its own specifications for the bale ties and wires that can be used in it. This is why we design and offer such a wide variety of options. Before choosing a baling tie, take into consideration the strength, quality, and gauge of the ties. Since you’ll be tying the bale tie manually, you’ll want to make sure you’re purchasing the highest quality of bale tie. To know which design and composition to order, check your baling machine’s owner manual or give our team a call. You may need a stem wire, bale wire, or custom wire instead.
Frequently Asked Questions
How are your bale ties packaged and shipped?
We package our single looped bale ties in 3 different ways:
- Our first and most common packaging would be coiled and stacked inside a gaylord box which is secured on top of a standard sizes pallet. This packaging allows us to transport the maximum amount of volume and makes storage easier for the customer.
- We also do our single looped bale ties coiled and banded to a pallet. This packaging would be mainly used for orders under 15 bundles or less.
- Lastly, we sometimes package and ship straight and loose in master bundles of 5. This packaging is typically for customers with specific storage constraints and often adds cost to the freight because of the irregular shape of the package.
What is the shortest bale tie you make? Longest?
The shortest bale tie we have manufactured is 8’ long. The longest bale tie we have manufactured is 22’ long.
The Difference Between a Galvanized Finish and a Black Annealed Finish Bale Tie
To the look and touch, galvanized bale ties have a smooth metallic look and feel while black annealed bale ties are more oily with dull dark coloring. Functionality wise, black annealed bale ties tend to have a much higher rate of elongation making baling materials with a higher rate of expansion easier though they do not respond well to exposure to the elements. Galvanized bale ties, the most common type of bale ties, have a slightly lower elongation rate but can be stored outside without compromising the integrity of the wire.
